Privacy
Your information, handled with care.
The same care I bring to your family history, I bring to your personal details.
What this page covers
This page explains what happens to the information you send through the contact form on this website. It is written in plain English and kept deliberately short.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address, subject and message you provide. That is all. I do not use advertising trackers, and I do not build a marketing profile of you.
Why I collect it
I use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out and discuss your research. I will not sell your information or share it with anyone else, except the service providers below who help this website function.
Where it is stored
Your enquiry is stored securely in a database (Cloudflare D1) so that I do not lose it, and a copy is emailed to me (via Resend) so I can reply. Spam is filtered using Cloudflare Turnstile. These providers process your data only to deliver these functions.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries only as long as needed to help you, and to keep sensible records of the work I have done. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it removed. Just email me at info@ancestrysearchservices.co.uk and I will sort it out.
Getting in touch
Any questions about privacy, or anything else, can go to info@ancestrysearchservices.co.uk.
